Amateurs Schemes for Pai Gow Poker

Double-hand Poker is a current game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the west in an excellent game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete against other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, starting players don’t need to worry about any other, more experienced gamblers winning their $$$$.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, newcomers are able to take their time and scheme while not having to make quick selections.

It is also easier to participate in for a very long time with basically a small bit of cash after all, to not win, both of your hands has to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is given 7 cards face up and the dealer is dealt seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the houses.
