Caribbean Poker Codes and Tricks

Internet poker has become world famous as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the different players receive 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s value is equal to your original ante, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes immediately to the house. After the bet comes the showdown. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including a sum on par with the original wager. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The dealer pays chips equal to your ante and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
