Newcomer Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in an excellent game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the house, unlike almost all other poker games that players bet against other players. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to be concerned about other, more skillful gamblers winning their $$$$.

One more Pai Gow advantage is the relatively leisurely game play, novices are able to take their time and plan while not having to make hasty selections.

It is also easier to enjoy for a very long time with only a little bit of money after all, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the dealer is given seven cards faces hidden.

A five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
