Poker Aces – learning to play them

[ English ]

Poker Aces refers to two aces being dealt before theflop. It’s the strongest possible before theflop hand inTexas Holdem Poker. But despite this many players end up on the wrong end when given these cards.

When you’re given a set of Aces, you just don’t drop out before theflop. You’re positioned with the greatest possible hand at this stage of the round. So how do you gamble with Poker Aces ? Do you basically go all-in? I’d say definitely no to that.

Always remember, you are attempting to produce as much profit out of this strong position. You will want to maximise the possibility. Going all-in will merely drive most gamblers into dropping out before placing a bet.

If you’re in the initial spot (first or 2nd to place a bet), you’ll place a single bet. Any player with a good hand will call, with luck someone might raise. If there has been a raise do not jump to re-raise or call, wait for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

After the flop your plan will be to eliminate anybody that might be able to get a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise aggressively, if you’re fortunate you will fool 1 player into believing that you’re tricking.

If you’re in the center or late spot (near the last to wager) you will observe as everybody calls and then raise. Even with you sitting with a pair of aces, if you can try to avert a show-down. Protect your hand by forcing others to drop out following the flop. If you don’t abolish your opponents you risk squandering your hand.
